Why SGA

Integrity first. Quality and precision included.

SGA ENGINEERS provides high-quality engineering assessment, design, and construction services from pre-design through construction closeout - with an honest, direct approach for owners, architects, engineers, contractors, and project partners alike.

We are a full-service consulting engineering firm headquartered in Canton, Ohio, founded by Jared F. Singer and Jason S. Geraghty. We deliver Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Technology, and Commissioning (MEPFT) across Ohio and beyond. We are solutions-minded engineers: we help solve problems, not create more.

Coordinated duct, pipe, and cable-tray installation above the ceiling

Our difference

Construction literacy is our advantage

Our teammates have direct, hands-on installation experience. We step beyond the engineering design realm and understand installation clearances, phasing, spooling, sequencing, serviceability, and project scheduling.

We don’t hand off projects after award. The teammate you originally meet is the teammate who sees it through - providing quality services throughout design and construction. Principals stay close on every project, large or small - leadership is not reserved for the biggest jobs.

We are also often the design team lead. When the project needs a single thread of responsibility, we coordinate architecture, structural, civil, interiors, and related partners alongside our MEPFT work so the full package stays aligned.

What you get with SGA

Reasons teams keep coming back

Themes that show up again and again in partner feedback - how we work, not slogans.

Easy to reach, hard to stall

Direct communication and quick field answers keep renovations, tight budgets, and live facilities moving - the same day when the project needs it.

Design team leadership

We often lead or coordinate multi-discipline teams - architecture, structural, civil, interiors, and related partners - so owners and builders have a clear design lead and the documents stay aligned.

Construction literacy

Designs that anticipate how trades install, sequence, and service equipment - so the field is solving problems with us, not despite us.

Straight talk and fair partnership

Clear scopes, plain-language options, and a collaborative approach when conditions change. Integrity is not a slogan - it is how we protect your schedule and budget.

Solutions-minded engineers

We help solve problems, not create more. Practical recommendations, fewer surprises, and engineering that keeps construction and operations moving.

One coordinated MEPFT team

Mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire, technology, and commissioning under one roof - so systems line up in the documents, not only in a coordination meeting.

How we work

Mentor. Innovate. Lead.

Three principles from our firm profile that guide how we design, staff projects, and grow the next generation of engineers.

Mentor

We invest in co-ops, engineer interns, and rising designers. Principals stay close enough to teach through real projects - load calcs, field walks, submittals, and hard conversations - not just hand off markups.

Innovate

BIM coordination, lidar and point-cloud documentation, open BAS design, energy and carbon-aware thinking, and practical use of new tools where they improve accuracy and constructability - not technology for its own sake.

Lead

Integrity, collaboration, and technical excellence on every drawing set and site visit. We set a high bar so projects meet today’s needs and leave lasting value for owners and facility teams.
